This is an old list (assembled in 1998, but I assume most Belgian or German breweries have not changed), and the author does have a dozen or so beers he speculates have a different bottling conditioning yeast. Most are German wheat beers.

Yeah, if you didn't think he was talking down to his customers about the Angels Share issues in a "It's not our fault their palates aren't as sophisticated as mine" kinda way, this quote seals the deal:

"It’s just nice to know that there is something out there that I can drink without deconstructing."

He could have only sounded more smug if he was wearing a monocle and top hat.

Did the beer taste okay and what was the packaging date?

A friend in CA told me he signed all of the box sets by hand when they where released. Which sounds great unless you didn't want him to write on your roadcase you spent half a G on with a permenant marker lol. I think they make great brews but he does seem pretty full of himself at least in print never met the guy so can't say for sure but it does come off that way.

Still if he wanted some mickeys I'd be happy to send him some for a few of his brews I'd like to try :grinning:

I am actually drinking one now and I have never seen sediment like that in a bottle of SNPA.

The last Sierra Nevada Pale Ale I had looked pretty similar.
