Out of Curiosity does the Alchemist send out kegs for local pubs or is it all cans?

Used to be on draft at Prohibition Pig. Is that no longer the case?

I've had it on draft a couple places in Vermont - but last time I had it was a year or 2 ago.

Heady is no longer available at the Waterbury bars on draft, cans only. Hen of the Wood Waterbury is the only place Im aware of that gets kegs these days.

Wow was there in December and could have sworn it was on tap. Weird. It's better in the can anyways. Lol

I was there last july and almost every bar in Waterbury had it on tap. Why would they change that? To increase can output?

I can not answer your question, but cooperage can be a real pain in the ass. You need to spend the $ for kegs, washer and storage. Plus you have the whole return/exchange program thing.

Why bother with kegs when you can sell every drop than you make within a day of release in cans?

    Cans are also higher margin.

I remember hearing John talk about it during an interview somewhere recently. They've stopped kegging, became a hassle, if I remember correctly.

That is what they posted to me when I asked back in October 2014 on their Facebook page.
