I couldnt figure out a great way to word the title, but to reword.....
Which type of beer has the most to gain from a proper glass?

Does the type of beer(stouts, porters, IPA's) affect how much of a need their is for the right glass??

ie: Is it more important that you pour Belgians into goblets, snifters, or tulips....Or is it more important that you pour 'Weizens into Weizen glasses?? Or is it more important that you pour pilsners and lagers into Pilsner glasses???

Personally I like to always drink out of the appropriate glasses. Tulips help with aroma, weizen look awesome, help keep a nice head, etc.

The only styles (for me) that I don't always drink out of the same glass are porters (I like pint glass, but putting it in something else is fine too) and adjunct lagers (I don't drink those period).

Either way, drinking a beer is a good thing whether it's out of a
    Tulip or snifter

Yes, beers that say they should be drank in the container they were sold in need to be poured more than other beers need to be. Beyond that, no - all beer should be poured.

I really do not care if the beer is drank out of a coffee mug; however, it gives me a great excuse to buy and use different glasses. I like the way beers are contrasted in the various glasses.

I drink all my beer out of a styrofoam 8oz coffee glass, I believe this to be the appropriate glassware for all beverages.

I drink out of various glassware, but I do not believe matching beer type to glass type adds anything to the beer drinking experience. I think it is all mental.

I choose certain glasses based on how well the beer tends to lace and how that lace aesthetically compliments the shape of the glass. It's all aesthetic choice though, which is for instance why I rarely uses pint glasses (sometimes I'll use tumblers for ambers though)

For me, glassware is all about aroma. And in my opinion a snifter is the most flattering glassware for a beer's aroma. So I'm always okay with a good snifter, regardless of style. (Plastic sippy cups with airplanes and rainbows on the side work well too).

My favorite glass is an old cheap half tulip red wine glass. Bought for a few bucks at a yard sale. My SA glass is cooler looking, but this glass IMO is pretty special.

Yes, certain glasses are made for certain beer styles. With that being said, I rotate the glasses I use and will drink anything from them.
