Founders CBS one is my favorite, it's nice and quite big (could probably fit a bomber in it minus the head). Unibroue Maudite snifter is my second favorite, medium-sized and nice and thick (because I drop things). Neat devil logo too. It's pretty much either those two or my Duvel tulips (I have three). After that it's time to load the dishwasher!

Big beers i pour in a tulip/snifter. Belgians i pour into a tulip/wine glass and ipas or pale ales and ambers and porters (non big beers) i pour into regular pints or tulip pints.

Sometimes small beers go into a tulip or snifter just because i like using my snifters.

Long story shorts. Big beers are always in a tulip/snifter. Smaller beers are poured into whatever i i feel like that day

Black Metal Stout tastes better out of a goat skull IMO.

I have tons of different glasses, but I usually just use a Duvel glass then if they are all dirty, I will use whatever beer glass is lying around. Usually have Guinness glasses as back ups.

I find this glass is great for just about anything:

I have about 10 of those and about 10 of these as well which I think are just as good:

Oh... and about a bajillion of these from various breweries:

Break one, see if I care! They're all free!! Break my Jester King glasses, I'll just have to go to the brewery again! Darn!

I have a couple tulips and I suppose what could be considered a snifter....but its angular and squareish and not round. I actually really like that one.....

Thats pretty much all I use. Dont know why but pint glasses just dont do anything for me....

By habit and long-time usage, I mostly drink everything at home from shaker pints. That way, when I go out, I can experience proper glassware and hopefully have a more pleasurable experience. But one thing is extremely important - my glassware is always beer clean - no soap used on the inside of the glass.

I've got some tulip "stout" glasses that I use for everything.
And a chimay chalice which is nice.
I just like the look of them, but you do get a stronger aroma vs a pint glass.
Sometimes I drink out of a hydrometer sample test tube, now that looks cool!

TO me there's more than just flavor aroma that makes proper glassware pretty much a necessity in my enjoyment of certain beers. The way it looks (and makes the beer look) and feels in my hand and mouth is also important - and the amount it holds.

I'm pretty linear about what I drink from but people have to find what works for them. If I could only have one glass it would be a Reidel Burgundy Vinum but one litre steins, Duvel tulips, and Westmalle goblets work fine too. Glassware is important.

    Funnel.

In the case of a dropped wale, sometimes finding the appropriate straw really can add to the experience.

I love my Hill Farmstead glass and my wife found a Lawson's tulip glass that is awesome. I drink all types of beer in them.

I think Imperial Stouts and Barleywines have the most to gain from drinking from a snifter glass, as they have the most complex and rich aromas typically out of all the beer styles.

Would a Delirium Tremens glass be considered a tulip or a snifter?

I have 4 crystal 20-22 oz snifters my fiancee got me from Pier One and 4 tulip glasses I got from the dollar tree for $4. I use whatever is in the front of the line in the cabinet.
