So, I just had my third anniversary with my better half this past Wednesday. Among other things, she bought me this -

    Damn, I'm lucky.

I think shes trying to tell you to trade more. She must like what youre trading for.

Agree, think it says you need to trade more. On a side note, I went to a BBQ last night and provided beer for the party, extras from trades only (about 30 different beers). I just looked at the cooler and thought maybe I should slow down...

Awesome beer wives are a great thing indeed. We didn't get to my in-laws' until 11pm tonight because a box from Leschkie was out for delivery, and FedEx was taking foreffer.

"Wait, are there IPAs in the box? Well, we need to stay until the box comes so we can get those in the fridge, right? I mean, they can't sit in the sun for the next two days." We were supposed to be here for lunch.

At least she approves of your trading habit, just try to be reasonable so that doesn't change.

My wife packs all my trades for me. Part of the reason I started using shippers was to make it easier on her.

It means she, like my wife, thinks your present system is too messy and takes up too much room.

not all marriages these days have combined incomes, so i hear where you are coming from, but in my house (single income family), anything my wife buys ultimately is paid for by me. i look at gifts more as a wow, she endorsed me getting this!

it means you dont have regular trading partners. Ask any of mine, they get brand new fedex shipping bags the first one I send, and hopefully I get them back. I try not to seal the bags unless with a growler, but I ship more growlers than I receive. But hopefully any one that has received a box from me can mos def use the material I send.

I reuse those fedex padded envelopes when I receive them, but I can't understand for the life of me how everyone thinks it's ok to steal packing supplies from Fedex. Nobody goes into Kinko's, makes a couple copies, empties out their paperclip and whiteout holders and takes them back to work do they?

well, if you use fedex products to ship fedex is it stealing? I dont steal them, I order them from Fedex and receive them from Fedex and thus ship with Fedex. I dont think that constitutes as stealing in any means.

FedEx offers the padded envelopes as a convenience product to their most desired express air customers. That is the highest profit margin business for them. I'm assuming you are using the envelopes for packing ground boxes (the least profitable part of the business). FedEx's profit margin is about 5%, so you can assume that for every $20 box a person ships out they are making less than $1 on average. If you put a few of their padded envelopes in the box they probably aren't making anything. Not to mention the cost to package and send the envelopes to someone who isn't using them for what they are intended. I think several postings here have made it clear they aren't intended as free packing material in FedEx's eyes.

cheers to you. Not going to argue or go in to the fact how much business I give to Fedex. So for now, I will go away with your opinion that I am screwing over Fedex.

agreed. it clearly isn't stealing if you order it from the company and they deliver it to your door. they have full access to your shipping records and if they felt you shouldn't have these, they would deny your order. i've never before heard of anyone calling something stealing when you order free supplies from a company, and they hand deliver it to you as a perk for having an account.

perhaps your time would be better used manning the drink refill station at a fast food restaurant?
