Im in the Portland area and wondering if there are any stores across the border with selections different from Belmont or John's in Portland.

I can't say for certain but it's possible they could have a few things exclusive to Washington, two of which (I think anyway) would be Bale Breaker and Fremont.

This place has very good reviews. Probably worth checking out.

I stopped in By the Bottle once a while back. They had had some stuff that doesn't get distro here (Lost Abbey/Port, Fremont, etc) and a good selection of vintage stuff. There prices were pretty high, but I could see making an occasional trip there to get some new stuff if you get bored with what we have here (fortunately, this hasn't happened to me yet, and I don't see it happening anytime soon). I hear there's a Total Wine near the 205 as well, but I've never been.

By the Bottle is pretty small and not your typical bottle shop. Majority of the bottles are old vintages. Total Wine and Bevmo are your best bet for finding beers that aren't distributed in Oregon. Just make sure to check the dates if possible on the beer as stuff sits on the shelves way too long. A lot of bombers are never date stamped, so it's a big gamble with them. Both websites have search capability to see if a certain beer is available at any of their locations.
