Looking for some help, adopting a female German Shepherd mix (told with Huskey). Hoping to beat the suggestions found on yahoo answers.

    Thanks!

My Aussie shepherd is Vinnie. His predecessor, now deceased was Phoebe and she was nearly a perfect dog, so that one is all yours, and may bring some good Karma.

I just adopted a living being that will be part of my family for the next 10 or so years. I can't be bothered to come up woth a name on my own so I will aska group of anonymous strangers on an internet forum. That sounds reasonable.
Call the dog Beck's and come back when you have a child so that we can name your kid for you too.

Pliny is only a good name for about 2 weeks.
After that the name fades fast.

Harsh bro, come out from under that bridge more often and learn to interact with some level of decency. It's not that I can't be bothered to come up with names, but was turning to the collective creativity of BA members. With this many people viewing threads there are bound to be some great ideas that I hadn't thought of.

For the record I named my first dog all by myself.

I think any dog named Yeti needs to be half-St. Bernard, half-wolf.

Mean Old Tom would make for a great guard dog though.

Opal is my favorite but it's also my fiancee's grandmas' name so I guess that's off limits.

A lot of people look to others for help naming family members. I think that guy is cranky tonight...

Anyway, my dog's are all named after Dead tunes but if I were to go with the beer theme, here's a few that come to mind without much thought:

    Avery
    Struise
    Goose
    Yeti
    Oskar
