I will be in MD (specifically Silver Spring) for the next couple of days, and I have been made aware that Dogfish head is available in those parts. So, any advice on 1: good beer stores in the area. 2: what good dogfish head beers are available right now. And 3: any other good brews to pick up while im there? Thanks for the help guys!

World Wide Stout is on the shelves at the County liquor store downtown, in fact there's quite a few of the year round stuff there (the usuals).

The only place that has a bit of selection in Silver Spring downtown is Fenwick Ale, but that place is not cheap, and if you go into other places in DC you can get the same selection for less with a few exceptions. You'll also probably find some other bombers there compared to the county store which only sells 6 packs for beer.

FRESH Indian Brown Ale, 90 Minute and Chicory Stout.

    You won't be disappointed!

Your best bet for bottle shops are a 10-20 min (depending on traffic) drive and are technically in DC.

You should look up Chevy Chase wine; Macgruders; and Rodmans. They are all within a very close range with the first two being only a few buildings apart.

The local breweries would include Flying Dog, Clipper city (heavy seas), Port City, Stillwater, Brewer's Art, DuClaw, Evolution, and DCBrau, all of which make some fine beer.

I have never had a dogfish brew. Sad, I know. Not much of an ipa guy though I might go for a 120 min if avaliable

90 minute is pretty delicious, as is the more sessionable 60 minute. But if you see some Palo Santo Marron or Burton Baton, jump on it!

Even if not an IPA guy, maybe give 90min a try. Yeah, it's hoppy, but also alot of other stuff going on. Worth a try, at least.

Olde School should have hit the shelves or soon be coming out. If you like barleywine it is worth trying a 4pk.

Try some World Wide Stout (big at 18% but the bottles at the county store downtown are already 2 years old), and some Olde School barleywine.
