I think Squall was retired, essentially replaced with the 75 minute 750s. That might still be around, I still have a few on my shelf.

You should be able to find all of the regular line up fairly easily I would imagine. As to bombers, it changes fairly constantly. I've currently got Ta Henket, 75 minute and Birra Etrusca, but there are most likely many others available.

I'd say 90 minute and Burton Baton are the biggies, but all of their stuff is worth trying.

Oh damn...I almost forgot. Get some Bitches Brew if you can find it! It's a very good stout.

Indian Brown Ale is their best beer, IMO.. it's year-round and should be easy to obtain.. it's a great place to start..

I have had the chance to try most of their line-up after moving to the East Coast a couple years back and I profer the Burton Baton as their best beer. Pick it up if you can. Noble Rot is also a good, and different, brew.

Palo Santo with a year or two on it is practically magical

90 Minute(despite hate from the West coast IPA purists) is my favorite IPA. If you could leave me with one beer for the rest of my life, this might be it. It tastes great fresh, I be even saved them for 1+ years and they're still delicious.

Some West coasters hate on it, because the finish doesn't have a bitter, grapefruit like finish. Yet, this is exactly why I like it. Such a balanced beer, it gives you hops and some malt sweetness that takes the edge off the finish. It even tastes better as it warms and opens up a bit. An extremely underrated beer, IMO, and I've had Heady, Pliny, Dreadnaught, Double Jack, Double Trouble, etc.

Oh, and if you're into the barrel aging thing, you might even like Burton Baton better. Dogfish has a few clunkers(Ta Henkett comes to mind), but they have so many worth trying. Every minute is great. I could go on, but I'll stop.

I would recommend getting the 90 minute at the minimum. Delicious IPA.

So with all the advice on what to pick up....if you see any Ta Henket leave it be. You'll thank me later.

World wide stout is worth a try. My favorite from them is Burrton baton. 75 min or 90 min are good too but a lil overpriced as is much of their lineup.

I second the recommendation on Palo Santo Marron...possibly my favorite beer.

A lot of Dogfish beers are underrated. The fact that there is not even 1 Dogfish in the top 100 on this site is hilarious. There are at least 5 of their beers I can think of that demolish a bunch of the supposed "best" ones ranked above them.

well depending where you are they is a dogfish head ale house in Gaithersburg, MD. That would probably be the best bang for your buck.

Those beers on the Top 100 are there because users have reviewed them as such....are you suggesting that the math is incorrect or that the reviews themselves are skewed?

I think that it speaks volumes to see that DFH is nowhere on that list when you consider the extent of their market visibility and production output. You would think that more beer = more reviews = higher ratings.....but it doesn't work out that way. For a reason.

As someone else suggested, go to the DFH brewhouse in Gaitherburg to sample a bunch of different DFH beers, I think it would be about a 20 minute drive (w/o traffic).

Insinuating that I was questioning the integrity of math on the top 100, pretty funny. Actually, contrary to your story, I'd say that Dogfish suffers from lower ratings because their beers are reviewed a ton compared to many others of small sample sizes. A few bad reviews are more likely in a larger sample size, and it brings the mean down. I'm not saying that all their beers are great, there are quite a few I don't like. But do you honestly think it's fair for a certain beer to have only 25 reviews and be on the top 100 compared to others with over 2,000 that merely suffer from mean regression? Good try, next time try to make your hater status a little less obvious.

If you are in Silver Spring and want a good pint (drink) of beer, go to the Quarry House Tavern... fun place great atmosphere and a good list. Totally forgot to mention this.

If you can make it to Columbia MD tonight Frisco Tap House has a DFH event:

"Tonight we have a special treat for you from our friends at Dogfish Head. On tap this evening we'll be pouring the limited and highly sought after Johnny Cask (75 Minute) on Cask, alongside 60 Minute, 90 Minute, 120 Minute, Birra Etrusca Bronze, Hellhound On My Ale, Namaste, Noble Rot, Olde School, Sah'Tea, Ta Henket, Midas Touch, Theobroma and Tweason'ale. We will be handing out hard to find 18oz Dogfish goblets upon purchase of a Dogfish draft as well. Fun starts at 7, cheers."

Gotta second it, then: World Wide Stout and Old Schoole Barleywine. Two of my top 4. Palo Santo converted me to craft beer years ago - it's also one of the best out there.
