First time posting here so sorry if i'm off base. I was under the impression Dogfish Head was releasing BA 120 last weekend but i haven't seen any action in the trading forums and there's been hardly any checkins on untappd. Can anyone confirm if it was actually released? https://thefullpint.com/beer-news/d...and-grisette-about-it-triple-release-details/
Well, there's an entry in the BA database for it, but there aren't any reviews yet. We won't get it in Iowa because of our ABV regulations. I'd probably pass anyway, unless I can find a wee dram on tap somewhere. I can't imagine this retailing for any less than $60/4.
The regular 120 is not my cup of tea. Can't imagine this would taste any better. Barrel aged and hoppy don't mix, imo
I have a couple non BA bottles aging and at 4 years, they really start to taste like a barley wine. Barrel aging could really work in that sense.
It does in an American barleywine. Flying Mouflan comes to mind as a beer that benefits from some time in bourbon barrels. I could see that working pretty well for 120 Minute.
Horses for courses and I respect individual’s tastes and all that - but for me personally BA 120 sounds about as exciting as BA Bud Light Platinum
only 250 bottles? and limit 2 bottle per person? So only 125 people got to taste it. sounds like more market research instead of a actually release
