Place was selling them at $2.99 bottle. I never had any when it was released. Would they be worth picking up?

OP, seems like a decent price to experiment with. Pick one up & try it. If you enjoy it, pick up X more bottles where X is a multiplier correlated to your enthusiasm for the beer. If you don't enjoy it, you are out 2.99 which seems relatively unscathed these days in craft beer.

I say pick one up. It's a good beer.

I grabbed a single. It was worth it. Glad I didn't grab any more.

I would try a single. Thats what I did, enjoyed it but thought the original BB was better - just one man's opinion, though.

I love Bitches Brew but that beer was just an overkill on the vanilla. Sometimes I think these breweries to a bit too much when they make these fancy beers.

I was the same thing with Founder's Lizard of Koz. On paper I thought this should be an awesome beer but after drinking it I realized the brewery went too far with adding in various elements (I think there was chocolate, vanilla, blueberries and aged in something).

Sometimes it's better to have 2 elements that pair amazingly well together than a hodge podge of craziness that makes the beer overwhelming crazy in flavors.

Not trying to be confrontational, but do you really need help making a decision regarding a $3 purchase?

I'd go for it, hell yeah!

I had LoK a few months ago, and was blown away by the balance between the chocolate, vanilla and blueberries, all packaged in a mildly flavored BB kick. I appreciated the flavors hitting my entire palate separated front to mid to back. Balanced!

Dude, if it's the worst crap you've ever tasted, and you can't even finish it, you're out three dollars. That's a very small price to pay to experiment with something. If you love it, it could be the best three dollars you've ever spent. Do it, why even ask.

    At $2.98 I like it.

    $2.99? That's nuts, pass.
