    I do the same, but I often only use half the beer in the french press (I pour carefully and leave the 2nd half in the bottle in the fridge), and pour the rest into the pint after I have infused the flavors - that way I can leave the infusion on the counter at a warmer temperature and I get the cold carbonated beer from the bottle I kept in the fridge to mix in and get the mouth feel and temperature right.

    This thread is awesome. I was just digging through all my excess beer and realized I was unlikely to drink some of them.
    But now I can use them as the base for some experimenting. Thanks BA!

    Yes it's worth it. Very worth it. Holds the carbonation better than a french press IMO.

    Take Black Note or BCBS...

    toast 2/3c of coconut lightly
    add 4 chocolate chips
    add 1" of chopped vanilla bean
    add 12oz of bourbon barrel aged beer

    twist cap tightly sit in fridge for 60-90'

    enjoy your fake '13 prop, and it's fucking amazing.
