So, I popped in to a unfamiliar liquor store today and I happened upon a few cases of this and they all happen to have been bottled in 2010. I grabbed a 4pack only head to the counter to find out the pricetag on the 4pack was $34 and some change. I immediately put it back. Does anyone else know of price ranges on this particular DFH brew and is it worth it for the 3year old world wide stout?

That's cheap, I've never seen it for less than 10 bucks a bottle.

This and 120 Minute have the same price point, and 120 sells for around $10-$14 per bottle. That's actually a pretty good deal for that beer, especially aged 3 years at this point.

Just for your safety, put it down immediately and walk away. Everyone on here knows that WWS is only good if consumed within 3 weeks of bottling.

By the way, what is the name of the liquor store?

Well that solves it then. Thanks guys. Just wasn't sure at the time that I was ready to fork out that dough for only a 4 pack, but I'll be sure to grab some next time because I don't think it will be flying off those shelves.

That's a pretty solid price, I'd gladly purchase that. The 2010 vintage bottles in my shop are $11.99

You're essentially paying $8.5 a bottle for already aged beer. It's basically a steal.

Definitely go back and buy a 4 pack, drink one for a point of reference, cellar the other 3 for 3 or 4 years and you will be amazed!

For sure go back and buy the 4-pack. It's finally going to be released at the end of this year for the first time since 2011. Drink one of these with a fresh one for a fun comparison.

This is one hard to find beer. A local liquor store received 8, 12 oz. bottles. I was lucky to get one for 10 bucks.

Seems like you were getting a deal...

Fear not for not all was lost I did end up finding and bringing home some NE Old Stock Ale 2011

Sits around on shelves here forever. This beer is good but at ~$1/oz I can think of quite a few less expensive ones I'd rather have.

Buy it and drink it relatively soon.

I actually had a 2010 bottle as well that I found in a random store during my route, and it was good, but had dropped off a bit. Had kind of a dark fruit/quad taste to it instead of the intense roastiness I remember. Still roasty goodness, but less intense. Still worth at the price I paid.

Worth it if you crave syrupy sweet liquid (I won't call it a stout or beer).
