I'm looking to get some information/thoughts on this beer? A local beer store has 3, 12oz bottles available. One 2010, and 2 2009. He was asking $10 per 12 oz bottle. I thought that seemed outrageous but then again I know very little about this specific brew. Thoughts?

Not unreasonable. New batches usually hit the shelves at $8-10 apiece in NJ.

Bottle shop I frequent has 2009 and 2010 bottles for $8.99. Sounds reasonable.

$8-10 per bottle. Usually sold individually.

$8-$10 per bottle is fair, especially with a little age on them.

I agree with the others. I usually see it for $8 - $10 for a bottle in PA.

Don't get the 2009. It's very under attenuated and super sweet (like even moreso than usual). 2010 is ok. But 8-10 bucks is about the asking price of a new bottle.

Don't buy under ANY circumstance! By the way, can you give me the name and address of the shop??

They're always in the range of 10$ and sold individually. I saw one shop once selling them in the original 4 pack containers they're shipped in but it was still 40$ a 4 pack you just got a nice blank white 4 pack sleeve to carry em out in.

Had a 2002 and a 2009 recently. I don't remember the 2009 tasting off, though (and I've drank at least two cases of 2010 in the past year). It was mellow and not too sweet IMO.
And for anyone that cares - 2002 is amazing. Recognizable as WWS, but has more in common with an amazing port than it does a fresh or even year-old WWS.

The local grocery near me has a couple of 4pks. Worth the purchase? They're all 2010.

Get at least one - then if you like it go back and get the rest!

Ya know, I bought a few last year and wasn't blown away. Should I not be put off by last years....?
