    Has/was HotD Doggie Claws been bottled/for sale in '10, '11, '12 and '13?

    Yep!
Saw all three years on tap at their taproom and had the '12 in tap and from bottle...both amazingly delicious.
Still have a pair in the cellar too.

It's been bottled since 2002, if I recall correctly.

So probably a week or two before we see it hit Seattle?

Hopefully the shipments to WA are carbonated this year.

Anybody with past experience have any idea about how long this will be available to go in the tasting room?

anyone know if the bottle tastes like the draft? I found this years draft a bit underwhelming

Haven't tried the current vintage in draft or bottles but did try the Little Dog version and it was absolutely incredible, I wish they would bottle that.

Anteater it is usually around for a couple weeks.

I've had it twice on tap in the past week and both times was a little disappointed. I thought last year's version in bottle was excellent, one of the better vintages in recent memory (my bottles were well carbonated with minimal sediment). But I'm a little worried about the 2013 bottle version. I normally just buy a case, but will likely get a bottle to try first.

I personally almost always find Doggie Claws a little hoppier than I prefer my barleywines when it's fresh. Give it a year, though, and it's perfect.

so I am having a bottle now, it imo is better than the tap I had at the matt release, it's darker too. also it's well carbonated not flat. case for me!

Only a 20% increase from last year. I wonder, maybe they produced less than last year.

Yeah, we cracked a bottle tonight as well, and despite my previous comment, I'd say this vintage is already drinking quite nicely.

I went ahead and bought a case on your recommendation. And I'm not disappointed. Enjoying my first bottle right now. Perhaps not quite as good as last year's, although dang close. I'll have no problem finishing off 3/4 of the case over the next two months and the rest into the cellar.

well glad you liked it, did you get a bottle to try before getting that case?

Nah. I get a case every year, so unless someone reported it was terrible, I'm game for the $120 investment.

Stopped by HotD today to grab a few more bottles of Otto and ordered a Doggie Claws to go with my sandwich. I was surprised by how hoppy it was but initially chalked it up to how variable the beer is year to year. Later found out it was a dry-hopped version. Excellent!
