Don't Have To Ski NE To Win LIF

    Thanks to normyk I won the King Henry ill poetry jam, and now want to pass it forward. Also been a fine year for me, and this will be my second LIF sponsorship. This is open to 48 contiguous states only. Winner promises to share winnings, post pix of the share, and start another LIF to pass the karma forward. Established traders with ref.'s only.

    Winner of this will receive 2 bottles of Captain Lawrence Hops N Roses, a delicious beer I hope to drink apres ski this winter.

    Back in my younger days I lived for 2 things, Grateful Dead and skiing. I loved X country and Downhill both, averaged 65+ ski days a year for many, many years. Of all the trails in New England, though, there was one I enjoyed more than any other.


    I know this favors skiiers, but anyone can find trail maps of every ski area in New England on the interwebs. I have skiied pretty much every area in New England, and loved the tiny off the beaten path locals as much as the ballyhooed resorts.

    Your task is to guess my one all time favorite New England trail. It might be a X country trail, it might be a Downhill trail. You must decide, and then guess which ski area and which trail at that area was my favorite.

    Example: Overcliff-Undercliff Loop at Mohonk Mountain House (not the answer, obviously).

    Can't decide if this is way too hard, or not, but hints will be given if necessary, and all will get one new guess per hint. Good luck

    Not participating as ive won a few LIFs recently, but as a fellow NE ski fan, this is a very clever LIF! Good luck folks!

    I know absolutely nothing about skiing but I'm gonna guess Black Hole, Smugglers' Notch, VT.

    Unreal. I talked this one over with a friend who is an avid skiier and he thought it was so hard I would need to give clues. I had 6 clues ready to go. Still at a loss how

    got it so quickly. Damn, brother, not askin what it was but tellin what it is.

    Stowe, Vt. a favorite (though I would take a May ski day spring bumps on Superstar at Killington over about anything) has the front four and two of those are my fave trails anywhere east, one moreso cause of the tricky fall line, really keeps you on your toes, literally, that is my fave, aptly named

    GOAT.
