I just received a gift, Doom Berry by Collective Brewing Project.
The label shows a date of 12/06/2017. Can I assume this was the bottle date? I see that Collective is no longer in business. I know where this bottle was purchased in Spring Hill, TN. Should I go there and ask for a refund? I can't believe this 5.27% brew can age 6 years.

Yeah, that would likely be the bottling date. Regardless, that brewery has been out of business for awhile.

It's a sour, so it probably ages more gracefully than most. That said, a lot will depend on how it was stored (cold, no sunlight, etc). I'm suspect it wasn't stored in ideal conditions for 6 years.

Regarding a refund....can't hurt to try? They may not be inclined to give you one, though, without a receipt.
