Any good shops to stop in door county? Headed there in a couple weeks and want to know ahead of time.
    Thanks!

I was up there a few weeks ago and really struggled to find anything decent. In the Sturgeon Bay Area, all you have are a couple small liquor stores and a big box store (can't recall the name). The wine/specialty store downtown appeared to have a decent selection on yelp, but when I showed up they said they stopped selling craft beer because there was very little demand. I had more luck hitting a few random locations on my drive up through the state than I did in Sturgeon. Good luck!

Not much for bottle shops, but a couple of great "under the radar" places to get some awesome beer is The Wild Tomato in Fish Creek (usually have BBCS) and The Bier Zot in Sister Bay!

Best bet is to stop on the way. If it's not to far out of the way Ridgeview liquor in green bay has lots of good stuff.

Wild Tomato and Bier Zot are both outstanding. I was just there last month and both had BCBS, though it may have been $13 or $15/bottle.

The Main Street Market in Fish Creek normally has some good beer, but like others have said, you'd probably do better stopping somewhere on the way in.

Door County Brewing Co. in Bailey's Harbor is absolutely worth a stop. That place is such an excellent addition to the area.

This thread is making me want to get back up that way. 1 bass fishing trip a year to Sturgeon Bay isn't enough.

Top Shelf Gourmet across from the Piggly Wiggly had an acceptable selection last time I was there.

Stop at Ridgeview Liquor in Green Bay and Mainstreet Market in Egg Harbor. Those are your best bets for beer to go. Mainstreet usually has some good beer that sells out fast in the cities.

There is some great pizza and beer to be had at Wild Tomato. Be prepared to wait, though, if you go during traditional lunch / dinner timeframes...the place is small. IMO, the best brick oven pizza I've ever had coupled with the fact they had Ten Fidy on draft....kah-boom!

Koepsel's Market will have a decent selection of sixers and ability to do mix a six as well. Don't expect much exotic though and keep an eye on bottle dates as things tend to sit a while

Wow, 11 posts without an FIB comment yet?!? You guys are slipping. Anyway . . . .

For bottles, as previously mentioned, Mainstreet Market in Egg Harbor is probably one of your best bets. If you catch it at the right time they can have some nice surprises. The selection at Top Shelf Gourmet can be pretty mainstream, but I haven't been there yet this year so they may have evolved. I agree with the Wild Tomato suggestions - tiny hole in the wall with a nice beer list and great pizza - but the one that I'm surprised no one has mentioned yet is Mink River Basin up in Ellison Bay. They typically have about 30 on tap.

I was pretty happy with their selection last summer. I bought at least a case of Scream there. As others have suggested Wild Tomato has a solid tap list and fantastic pizza.

Main St Market, without a doubt. I was sold when I happened upon a nice stash of CW La Petite Mort. Great selection. Right of 41 too.
