Off to Bridport then London for the week starting tomorrow. While I'm quite happy with a pint of Tally Ho and dodge DBCs output does anyone have any gen for the Bridport area? Cheers.
Not sure about Bridport precisely but I was in south somerset for a month last year. Teignworthy was drinkable, as were the Sharps, Butcombe, St. Austell, Otter, Yeovil, Bays, and Wooden Hand beers that were available. Mostly golden ales and light bitters, due to it being summer I think. Badger's near Bridport too though I think, again nothing amazing but decent enough if well kept.
Cheers for that man. Anyone had owt from the following; Waylands Sixpenny Sunny Republic Isle Of Purbeck Art Brew Mighty Hop ??
Only the plus side, cool hillforts! Maiden Castle is recommended plus Ham Hill as they're on the last year of digging now so you can go and see the ramparts being excavated, as well as the various roundhouses and enclosures inside it. If you like that sort of thing that is.
Saw some tumulusseseses! Fancy moving down to Bridport area, had a cracking time dull beer notwithstanding.
I had some Sunny Republic Beach Blonde last year from what I can remember it was a refreshing fruity hop filled pint with a lot of (actual rather than bottle note) citrus tangs It was however at the end of the night and my notes were the next day discovered to be in some form of hieroglyphics
