Looks like Redhook has FINALLY brought back Double Black. Does anyone have any details about this? Is it a limited release or will it be hitting store shelves like before? I cant seem to find much info about it other than they just had a release party for it. Any info would be appreciated, thanks in advanced.
HAHA... I read this and thought you were talking about Struise Double Black and I was giddy like a school girl.
It's been a long time, last time I had it was in '08 when I was a craft beer newbie, loved it! We'll see if it holds up to my memory of it, Double Black and Treblehook are the only Redhook's I'd buy.
You have no idea... I dropped the ball when they were selling Double Black and didn't buy any and it might be my biggest beer regret to date. My head might explode if they bottle Messy.
From what I have heard, Double Black is being released in bottles only at the brewery in Woodiniville and in WA/OR on shelves. The pub in Portsmouth should be getting a couple kegs and will do growler fills, but no bottles on the East Coast . This was the first beer that got me into craft beer and I have been dying to try it again since it was retired. I will definitely still enjoy it at the pub, but I might be ISO someone on the West coast that can send some bottles to me.
