Anyone traded one of these recently? Trying to figure it's current worth. I saw one posted in the forums for the newest Hill Farmstead releases. So that gives me somewhat of an idea...problem is, I don't have any of said releases. I have some goodies like RARE, BCBVS, KH, GM, BT (all vintages), CR (all vintages), Parabola (all vintages), SH IRS (I know this one wouldn't get it, kicking myself for not having any SH BRL left).
I traded one of mine for Rare + BCBVS + BCBCS + '07-'10 BCBS, but this was a while back, so is virtually meaningless today. Feel free to BM me though.
If you venture out overseas maybe you could get lucky with Rare + a BCBS Variant. Double Black was also expensive when it was released. Not sure on the price, but it cost significantly more than Rare.
Rare + something decent should be plenty. Black Damnation is one of the more over-valued beers that most trades with it in the FT part don't get done. It was really never hard to get if you were willing to spend money.
This is a top want for me and after reading what some of yall have traded for it, my dreams of one day obtaining one are crushed.
i traded my last double black for a cable car when they got released. apparently that trade was not something that others could get done. however, i brought the cable care to a tasting where someone brought double black...and it was great to drink both at the same time. great beer. supposedly should be brewed again, but after struise finishes some construction and works out some issues with their icing program. i can't wait to find smaller bottles of it. fwiw...it was way better than special kay and that one is way tougher to find.
