Nobody is talking about the Pipeworks. Ninja vs. Unicorn is a DIPA that will stand up to any of those beers. I've had all but 7 of those beers. (gotta get me some double sunshine)

I wish I was at the tasting.

Too bad you don't have a growler of King Sue…. think overall that would wipe the board
    But… what a great tasting

Good luck figuring out what you are drinking beyond beer four. This looks more like an excuse for a shitshow to me.

Have had all but 5. This looks like a lot of fun. Surprised Ruination didn't make an appearance.

Can you tell us currently what are their favorite top 3 IPAs? How about your current top 3?

I bet Hop Stupid gets one of the highest scores...... and you can find it in the fridge of most stores for $5..... All the time.

Nice line up! Lots of personal favorites in there. Right now though I am on a serious Fresh Squeezed bandwagon. Damn that delicious citrus in that brew!

I appreciate everyone's feedback thus far! A few comments got me thinking about the bottled on dates for all of these. As much as I tried to receive them all as fresh as possible, when I actually tracked them all, I was forced to make a couple of changes. Racer X and Hop Henge had to go. Racer X has a bottled on date in November and Hop Henge had an enjoy by date of 3/13 (close, but no cigar). Since I had to take them both out, I was forced to update the seeding with two alternates which naturally altered the flights. To fill the two openings, I've included Green Flash's West Coast IPA and Moylan's Hopsickle. Below are the the updates. The tasting is tomorrow and I'll be sure the update the thread with the results by EOD.
I hate that the first flight is crazy stacked and that Hopslam's flight looks far less challenging! Regardless, the seeding is what it is.
Someone asked what my personal favorites were... Batch 138 is probably my favorite right now (the only reason it's in this set). Apex, Heady, BP, and Hoptologist would round out my own top 5. Of course... I'm dying to know how they all pan out in the blind tasting!!

    Cheers!

    THE RESULTS ARE IN...
Below are the results from each flight and each round. In the end, it was a great day of tasting and there were a lot of VERY difficult flights to judge. Props to @BearRepublic @RussianRiver @Lagunitas and Knee Deep for clinching the top spots.

Interesting that Steve picked Pliny over Apex in Round 2, but did the opposite in Round 3.

Apex is a fantastic beer and it is super fresh right now.

    Sculpin didn't do so well

Looks like it was a very good time.

Great idea...and looks like a ton of fun! I find it very interesting that the top three winners are all brewed within 20 miles of each other.

And you could tell that the hops had already fallen off, especially when comparing it to the batch brewed on 4/26/14.

Wow Double Sunshine didn't even place. Big surprise for me. Of course, I can't help thinking it sort of makes the results less meaningful to me, as I have had the other three beers in its round 1 matchup numerous times, and none are even close to its quality IMHO.

Yeah, our different opinions make the world go around.

Looks like I need to get some Apex and Batch 138, 2 of the only 3 beers in the comp. I haven't tried.
