No way. I firmly believe in cheat them fair and this is shooting fish in a barrel for the right server.
The priciest one in that lot at the packy is maybe gonna scrape 14$ with tax, and at 18 - 35 a pop for the majority of those bombers at a bar. I see my days totals are looking great and someone is going home with a massive tip.

my thoughts exactly, I figured Double Sunshine would be a clear winner. It's not like you had Bodhi and Pupil in there to give it real competition...

I have to think Abrasive would have done better had it not been almost 3 months old

I think it will be really interesting to do the same exact test again in one month with the same people and same beers, but of course switch up the order and see just how close the results are to the first test.

    My guess, different.

My beer of choice wasn't at the top. Invalid test.

Very nice. Didn't pick the winner, but at least Double Jack beat Hopslam in a round that was supposed to be an easy win for Hopslam. And also that Sculpin got crushed--I felt compelled to write my first BA review of Sculpin just yesterday because I found it so underwhelming. And I agree with markdrinksbeer, you need to do this again in a month, in the name of science. And drinking.

I want to be a judge. Can't belive Sculpin got crushed with 5 different hops. That beer is in my favorite 5 of ipas despite the price.

Interesting about Sculpin. I've always liked Torpedo better. I was also planning a trip to VT to score some Heady, but I believe it's not worth the trip to check out the hype. There are a lot of great beers in my area like Flower Power, Apex, Torpedo, Dirt Wolf, Gandhi Bot that will keep me happy. :grinning:

Not that Heady Topper needs any more praise, but it never had a chance with two of the tasters killing it in the rankings. I haven't had all of the listed beers, but having Pliny as the five and Heady as the 1 is kinda weird to me. Those beers were so close to me last time I tried them together. I liked Heady more, but Pliny is a great beer.

Anyway cool concept, anything involving march madness brackets is fun.

It is surprisingly difficult to find fresh Sucks in Northern CA right now (unless you go to Petaluma). And let's face it, old Sucks lives up to it's name.

What appears to have happened was first the 32s hit - which are supposed to be year-round - then the six packs - which are seasonal. Obviously the price point is way better on the 6 packs, so in December and January, everyone was buying the 6ers as the 32s were dying. Now the sixers are gone (or 2 months old) and the 32s on the shelves are from November and December. So until people buy the gross shit, no one is ordering the new shit. Pretty annoying.
