Double Dose I just bought was in 12 ounce bottles (4 pack) Do not believe Lawson's does anything in cans. I paid $16 a 4 pack. Haven't opened one yet

walked into the Beverage Depot in Manchester yesterday (Saturday) and there were three cases on the floor. I grabbed two four packs ($15.99) and walked around the store. Came back five minutes later and they were all gone.

They had a rye whiskey barrel-aged version of it at SIPtemberfest yesterday. Sean & Karen Lawson joined us after - he thought it strange that people think this year's is so different from last year's, given that it is the exact same recipe and process in nearly all respects. (I failed to ask Gerhardt's opinion, who seemed very proud of it regardless.)

Have had a couple so far, to me it does lack the "wow" factor of last year but I am not so quick to blame the beer. I have had lots of beers that I thought were fantastic initially and then changed my opinion on after having them again. Tastes change all the time and a year has passed since I last had this beer. Bound to taste different, even if I believe that I can remember exactly what it tasted like before (which is also unlikely). I am not unhappy that I bought it, that's for sure.

I was about to write almost the same things. Ignore the label and drink the beer, I think most would say it is a quality IPA. I think it is different from last year as well but 12 months of beer drinking has changed my palate a lot.

Stopped at Craft Beer Cellar in Westford Mass. today and one of their guys said it "doesn't look good" for DD to arrive there at all because of the special release in Vt http://www.lawsonsfinest.com/our-beer/double-dose-ipa-pop-sale-919/. Can't imagine there would not be distro allowances for the whole lot up there being sold out, but that's the line I got.

they have singles at the E57th street whole foods. i think for like $5~6 (i bought 2). also mbc another one bottled 7 days ago, which i'll venture a guess is better than double dose.

speaking of which, so people say it's different from last year? hmm. will report back. lawsons and (these days) otter creek rarely miss on the hoppy beers as we all know.

DD hasn't made it to my area of Brooklyn yet, Whole Foods and Eagle Provisions don't have it yet. I've never had DD, excited to try it hopefully. I saw last year's batch 5 month's later for $7 a bottle, no thanks! Whole Foods just had 9 day old MBC Lunch, yum.

Yeah MBC sucks with distro in so many states but wf in NYC has like a constant supply of fresh, excellent MBC. no complaints
