It was on the shelf here for over a month at $14. I bought at least one 4 pack every time I stopped in.

Really enjoyed this beer. Quit complaining. It tastes very similar to last years and chances are you can't even accurately determine exactly what last years actually tasted like in the moment you had it. I'd go out on a limb to say no one actually could do that. Not to mention all of our preferences change and what we have been exposed to can certainly changed that.

    Shit is real good

Nineteen bucks and change for the four-pack I just got. The kid behind the counter looked at me like I was some kind of moron. Perceptive kid.

    Oh right, good question!

Walsh Wines and Spirits on Washington St in Brighton Center. All I saw was a single case, just received and still on the floor.

Similar situation for me. Went to a store yesterday, not expecting it, found a case hidden under another empty case. Nothing put out yet. It was priced though ($16), so I brought it up and had no trouble paying for it. Might check there again tonight, but I'm probably better off just getting some Trillium.

funny, I want into a bottle shop today because I know they have fresh bottles of congress st and fppa. I saw a 4 pack of double dose for $20 and went for. I was just thinking that I really like this beer but probably would opt for the trillium 9 if this stuf was around all the time.

I hadn't tried double dose and the congress will be there tomorrow as it was yesterday when I enjoyed one. But I 100% agree with you

As a Vermonter, if I had regaular access to Trillium FPPA and Congress St. I would buy them more often than I do Heady. Not cause they are "better" than Heady, but they are awesome, and I sometimes prefer to have sub 8% ABV beers during the week. I can say I would never by DD over a Trillium IPA.

Is Double Dose still available anywhere in Vermont?

I picked up 2 bottles at CBC Newton.

Very much enjoyed it last year, a big MEH this year. Tasted more on par with Otter Creeks current offerings.

How does that not make sense to you. I said it tastes similar, as in what I remember from the time I had it one year ago. People who say it off by X,Y,Z because of the water, or the different hops, and the process and pin it down to one thing saying it sucks, I'm calling BS on that. As I said and stand by, it tastes similar. But like anything else peoples preferences change over time and skews memory and expectations. By no means is this beer bad or worth shitting on at all. this is the same discussion week to week people have about Heady topper changing and tasting different and getting their panties in a bunch over it.

Gasbarros in North Attleboro had a case on the shelf. I grabbed a 4pack for 17.99. There's 3 left as of right now.
