I usually hate Pine sol as well, but Devil Dancer is the exception. I freaking HATED Hoptimum.

Get an IPA from Three Floyds. Dreadnaught or Arctic Panzer Wolf. Light on the pine, heavy on the citrus, bitter and dry as hell. Amarillo goodness.

There's a characteristic FFF flavor that I haven't found in any other beer, and it's wonderful.

Last year's Devil Dancer was more like Garlic Sol. This year's was pretty tasty, though

Avery Maharaja has a real tropical nose and is very malty, not piney. Check the date on the bottle. It comes out about once every four months so get a fresh one if you can.

    Definitely this.

The recently released collab between New Belgium and Alpine, Super IPA, is also a good one.

    Breckenridge's 471 IPA...weak brewery but a very nice brew.

    Odell's collab...Pond Hopper.

Edit: That Super IPA is not light on the pine. Missed that specification...but I will say as someone who isn't too into pine either, I enjoyed that one a lot still.

Depends on what's available and where you live. I like Double Jack too, but Firestone Walker isn't distributed in NC, it may not be in your state either. If you have a quality shop that breaks into singles, that's your best bet, try it one bottle at a time. Check dates where you can, freshness is critical with DIPA's even more so than IPA's.

Many good ones mentioned. My recommends, and some have been mentioned:
    Wide Distro:
    Torpedo
    Hop Crisis
    Hop Stoopid
    Poss. by you?
    Big A
    Boy King (!!!!!)
Need to trade, and worth it.
    Kern Citra
    Abrasive
    Knuckle Sandwich
    Tricerahops
    Hop Henge
    Kryptonite

Not a super pine-bomb in the bunch, though some of these are very bitter. K R Citra , Heady Topper, and Abrasive are citrus/tropical with low pine and extreme deliciousness.

    Stone Ruination

However, I didn't enjoy the Sierra Nevada Hoptimum all that much.

Edit: Also really enjoy Firestone Walker Double Barrel Jack

Somehow I don't believe Ruination falls under the "less pine-y" request.
