Three Floyds Dreadnaught is a fantastic DIPA. Apocalypse Cow also, citrusy and weird DIPA. Arctic Panzer Wolf is like someone smashed your tongue with a hammer made of hops, but it is a great DIPA also.

Sorry for all the FFF recommendations, but I just got a bunch of them and couldn't be happier.

I would say wait until next spring for Palate Wrecker. It doesn't get much better.

Palate Wrecker is still around here and the last four pack I had was goooooooood. BTW, if you like the Palate Wrecker you will also like the Arctic Panzer Wolf. I'm going to shut up about FFF now.

Damn, that PW must be old, I'm pretty sure they were bottled before May since the bottling dates weren't written on. Those dirty distributors in the midwest don't know how to clear our inventory and move product. We went dry in so cal 3 months ago.

Can't say enough great things about this beer. I have a big beer fridge and cellar and just made the comment tonight that I wish I had some Hoptimum and nothing else here at home looked good. I've been through (5) cases since the beginning of the year and I can't get enough of it. Who cares about the 10% ABV, the flavor is just addicting.

471 is an AWESOME brew when you hit it on the right batch. Breckenridge has been so darn inconsistent with this beer that I stopped buying it, even when the bottling dates were within the acceptable date range. That is one of the few beers (for me) that have ranged from "OMG" to total drain pour, it's been all over the place. Bummer because the OMG moments for 471 have been euphoric.

Green Flash Palate Wrecker has been my favorite DIPA this year. Even at this stage I think its worth picking up if you come across a four pack...I say this after passing up the $15 GF in favor of the $10 Hoptimum tonight. If they were the same price I totally would have bought PW. Age and the fact that it wasn't being refridgerated notwithstanding.
I hope they start producing it regularly.

    Green Flash Imperial IPA.
    Mission double imperial IPA.
    Green Flash Palate Wrecker.

Those three are my favorites I've tried the last month, really looking forward to trying some Founders Devil Dancer ( a triple IPA)

Drake's Denogginizer and Hopocalypse are very solid.

Alpine stuff is more fruity than piney but you would have to trade for it. Same with my current favorite Double Sunshine that is just like chewing on fresh hops. Kern Double Citra was just released and can be had in trades, and to me is the one beer I find worth trading for.

its like right on that border of DIPA and IPA based on ABV. Death by Hops is in the same boat.

    Mongo from Port
the IIPAs from Green Flash (Imperial, PW, Le Freak...)
Stone's 16th Anny - more citrusy with the spices than true pine...
    Hop Wallop from Victory
    Big A from Smuttynose

EDIT: adding Simtra/Hoptologist from Knee Deep

Port Brewing Mongo IMO is IMO an over looked gem, not all that expensive or hard to get, right there with Hopsickle. Both are big brews and almost equally delicious.
