Does anyone know the bottle count on this release? I heard 2400-2500, but my bottle is labeled #2420. Does anyone know a number they are more sure of?

I too heard 2400. But obviously that's not the case, but that range sounds about right 2400-2600, I'm sure if you send em a message on Twitter they would tell you.

I have a much more important question. Has anyone opened a bottle yet? I'm curious if the glass is totally opaque, or if that's just an illusion from the crazy dark beer. I've never seen a bottle that looks quite like this one. The glass doesn't look even remotely transparent.

the beer is crazy ass dark. in years past the bottle was transparent, havent emptied one yet to see.

The glass itself is not opaque, but it is very dark. If you tip it in light, there is light seen through it where air would be.

The 2400 number comes from them directly I believe. Also, on the label they say they brewed enough to age 9 200L whiskey barrels which, at 750ml bottles comes to 2400 bottles. Maybe they started numbering at something other than #1?

Or perhaps the bottle max capacity is 750ml but there's really 700ml of beer in each which would make 2571 bottles.

I had some with the numbers on the top of the bottle and some where on the side. Pretty sure mine all had numbers though.

It was actually 10 200L barrels (wires got somehow crossed between myself and the person who wrote that copy), which with a little process waste ended up being 2588 numbered bottles, 2400 of which went to market.
    Cheers!

I'm not familiar with the actually brewing capacity, but was this all brewed in one batch?

Everything we put out this year, in bottles and kegs, was from 4 successive brews into the same fermenter, so yes, one batch.

Any plans to start bottling more seasonal/regular beers? Would love to be able to have a regular supply of 512 bottles in my fridge.
