Double-standard in CHI

    It reads to me as another example of poor reporting. The Wise Owl appears to be the only thing that was shut down. It's not a brewery, it's a bar/restaurant. All the other articles list that 5 other establishments were fined, but The Wise Owl was the only one shut down.

    They said "brewery shut down," then said the place shut down was Wise Owl. The six fined locations are not mentioned.

    I think you're right. I missed that when skimming since that's not a brewery.

    As part of the penalty, when they reopen, the city will force them to rename themselves just “Owl”

    Yes, Wise Owl is (| was) a restaurant. A restaurant I have visited, most recently in January 2020, for a sexpositive group's 'photography' assemblage .:grimacing:
