I just posted an ISO for Double Sunshine, actually - fully expecting no replies.

Living in SD, there's obviously no shortage of world-class IPAs. I'll never tire of Alpine's offerings and fill growlers there weekly. That said, I really just want to try Double Sunshine, simply because as IPA/DIPA is my favorite style and I've heard nothing but raves.

The best value is in drinking it.

By far my favorite DIPA to date! I traded one a couple months ago for 2 Alpine bombers. Definitely happy about the trade, Alpine IPAs are awesome! but I enjoyed DS a little more.

I traded a Juliet and a Dreadnaught for a Double Sunshine and a Vera Mae.

Is there a store at the brewery or do you get LFL beers at the bottle shop?

I spread misinformation here, sorry. It does not appear there will be DS at the farmers market on the 15th

I was just at the store for DS on Friday and they said Sean was focusing on Chinooker'd IPA for a bit and that's what they just got. Also, damn fine brew.

if you were going to go out of your way for double sunshine, and the point is to drink it yourself (at least one bottle), you definitely want to do the same for chinooker'd. it may not be "god tier" like DS, but it's heady topper, high end hill farmstead APA / IPA / DIPA tier. as far as i can tell, DS is the final boss in this neck of the woods, but chinooker'd is worth the gas money and then some.

I have wanted to try Chinooker'd as I love DS and Chinook hops, guess a drive or more likely an ISO as my schedule is hectic now.

DS is great. Had it for the first time tonight. It was about a month from bottling, from what I can tell. It was phenomenal. But the growler of S&S4 I had last week put it to shame.

all that said, make sure it's available [edit: if a drive is indeed the way]. my best friend hit the warren store on the way back from canada yesterday as well as a few other places and they were all dry re: lawson's :slight_frown:. grabbed a case of heady topper though, so not too upset.

edit: p.s. overly serious tone brought to you by marathoning episodes of the wire after drinking a bit.

Trade is more likely, but who knows.

You can't go to the brewery. It's a shed on his property (I believe). They don't take visitors.

You can get it at The Warren Store and Winooski Beverage amongst other stores and co-op's.
