When they have DS, do they also bring anything else? I'd be fine with two DS and two of something else. Better chance of scoring it.

Usually just one bottle. However, 2 weeks ago, they shipped both Session and Chinooker'd.

Lawson's blog always says what bottles are coming on which week at http://lawsonsfinest.blogspot.com/ They haven't posted this week's info yet.

This week's bottle variety is Double Sunshine IPA!
    ...
FOR THE WEEK OF JULY 4th:
The bottle variety at the stores will be Knockout Blonde Ale!

I am heading up July 3rd, and confess to being a little bummed. I'm just not a fan of Blonde Ales. I'll head up to the Warren Store anyway, but this is probably the beer I least wanted to see next week.

Are you only in VT on the 3rd?

Also, I'll be there for the Farmer's Market. Does anyone know what the per person price is for the breakfast buffet at Mad Taco in Waitsfield? And if a lot of people usually drive right up to Hill Farmstead after the market?

Yes. We have a place in Rochester, but only get up 4-5 times a year. Hope I can score a few HT 4 packs at least.

Oh man, DS! I'm leaving western Long Island tomorrow at 5:00am. Could be at Warren Store by roughly 10:30, barring any speed violations (I'm a fast driver). What would I expect the wait to be by the time I get there? Hour? 2?

I am dieing to try this beer and seem to be in perfect position to obtain it. HOWEVER, the people I am traveling with (including myself) are dead set on making it to The Reservoir in Waterbury by 11:45-12 for the USA game.

If the expected wait is 45 minutes or less, we can make it on time.

You won't have to wait, people are usually in and out. I was there last week at 10:05 and had my DS and an egg sandwich in no time. With the new 2/person limit you should be ok at 10:30, I think someone said they were out by around 10:20 last week at 4/person.

It's only 30-40 mins up to Waterbury (depending on who you get stuck behind on the road...single lane), you'll be fine for the game.

Ah, I see. I'm hoping I'm able to score a few HT 4 packs as well. I always pick the wrong weekend to visit VT I guess.

Time to seriously reconsider your Saturday plans- Waitsfield Market: Double Sunshine, Knockout Blonde Ale, Super Session #1 and Maple Tripple Ale. Limits not yet posted, but likely to be higher than the 1 or 2 per person for the Thurs/Fri store drops. If you're crazy early at Mad Taco, you could be on the road by 9:30 (depending on how long it takes you to carry the cases to your car).

Thanks Steve! I guess I will hold appetite off for egg sandwiches. Another incentive to make it to Warren Store, like DS wasnt enough..

Damn man. You are right. I am convinced, but will my wife be? Waitsfield is a solid 45 minutes in the wrong direction though. How early is crazy early?

Double Sunshine > Soccer. Priorities my man, priorities.

Edit: You may want to slow down. Speeding up through Mass and in VT with NY plates, you may be suspected of transporting contraband, and I don't mean beer. Seriously.

He can easily make it to Waterbury from Warren in time for the game. It's only about 30 minutes away, and he needs to be in Warren around 10 AM.

Oh, I know it close. My point was more that no soccer game is going to have any bearing on my beer, especially a DS.

Soccer? Although it probably is important not to miss any of the game as there will only be ONE goal......

Hard to say. Will it be as crazy as Memorial Day with the simultaneous HF anniversary/Waitsfield Lawson's/Heady pop-up? Or will people have other 4th of July plans and not head up to the market? Read the Triple Sunshine post for the worst case scenario:
first person in line arrived at 4:40 am
    50ish in line around 5:50am
    75th at 6:30am
    108 at 6:35am
    132 at 6:40am
    228 at 7:15am
The last ticket 320 was handed out at 7:40
Oh, and they swore that tickets would not be handed out until 8:00- not complaining, better to clear everyone out early if there are already more people than tickets.

I can't imagine this one being as well attended as the last, and even then you didn't need to arrive that early (7:15 was only 45 minutes early) to get a ticket, although I did and so did many others... Just so many events going on last time that people had already planned to stay the whole weekend. He seems to want to keep limits low on DS, my guess would be 3 per person at the market, but that is a total guess. My question is, will the Alchemist spring a pop-up sale the same day?

So the two bottle limit today drove people crazy I guess, we had family in the area by chance (thank you Beer Gods) their quote was 'spent some time enjoying the circus of people getting their beer and asking people they did not know to get beer for them' I think the crazy beer folk weird out non beer nerds.
