Oh my god. What I wouldn't give to have a DeLorenzo's pie tonight. We used to go to the one on Rt. 33 because it was around the corner from my parents house.

No kidding right, do you hit Rossi’s for their burgers? Used to be in Trenton, but they’re close to Delorenzos too, best burgers ever. The guy tending bar is the same guy sliding us beers in 1974, must be a relative. Trenton was killing businesses, just a complete basket case of a city. Your right rt 33 not 31, they have multiple locations too, one in PA, but the original is the best. Imo.

My Grandfather was really close with the Rossi brothers ay back in the day - he used to drink there all the time back when they were in the Burg. These days whenever I'm back visiting my parents we always go there for burgers - I love the pork roll burger. Sooo good with a cold Yuengling lager.

Never had a pork roll burger but that sounds really good, I’ll be back home in Sept or so I’ll post pics. Back in the day they were the only bar that ever had Heineken on tap. Get drunk go to Rossi’s.

I’m an asshole, after I say I give up, prob won’t like it anyway, etc I find myself pulling into the parking lot at Links in coopersburg. Got two singles $4 each, will test tomorrow.

I had this before on draft a ways back and didn’t care for it, but barley wine-ish beers can be harder for me to enjoy while at a bar vs drinking at home. Really enjoyed this one now. The floral character of Two Hearted is there along with citrus that’s amplified by Bell’s yeast. I had no trouble with the beer in regards to alcohol, sweetness, malt, hops, etc, but when I bought it the cashier mentioned he felt done when he was 1/3 through a bottle. I’ll try the beer again alongside a regular Two Hearted. My first impression of the bottled version of this beer was extremely positive, especially when compared to your typical contemporary IPA.

Have to say I loved it. It was exactly what I was hoping it would be, and it was all that I envisioned, a bigger 2H Ale that worked perfectly with the Centennial. I was hoping for a 2H on steroids, but I was expecting a mess of a beer that would just be weirdly sweet. Good job by Bells here, it would have been easy to let an 11% beer get away from you.

I was surprised how much I liked it as well, very good but still glad I just got two singles.

If you're close to Bell's General Store, they announced on social media today that an 'extra' shipment was just received. They didn't mention any limit, just "get it while you can."

Definitely worth the try, it really is Two Hearted doubled. This won’t age worth a shit I suppose, but it’s also not a sweet cloying DIPA sporting that 11% abv.

No idea why anyone is confused by there being multiple bottling dates. Can someone enlighten me on this?

Whether it's multiple batches being brewed or the same batch being bottled on multiple days, I do not think there would be any significant noticable difference given bells capacity. Especially since this is a double one hop IPA.

They're had multiple cannings of hopslam last year with no discernible difference and they produce 2 hearted year around and it tastes exactly the same.

My guess is because this beer sounded like a one and done batch from some of the press releases so folks are wondering did they end up brewing a new batch or just now releasing into the market what may have been still hanging around.

It is one and done. Their capacity is such that they cannot bottle everything in one day. It’s probably just that they had a slightly higher yield than expected and a second drop at the General Store.

Bottling date 8/21, never thought to check assumed it’s irrelevant on a fresh one time drop.

This finally surfaced in NJ. I did enjoy it but not sure why they went 11% on this. It was well done but can't help but being slightly boozy at that abv. Would love to see Bell's do something between the regular Two Hearted and the Double at some point. Let's hope 1.5 Two Hearted is not far behind.

This is popping up in my area but I only want a single, as I am sure a six pack would get tiring. One place near me said that they sold out quickly both singles and six packs. I will stay on the lookout...

A six isn’t tiring at all, I was suspicious as well, but it’s worth the money. Consider it just one beer a day kinda beer.

Found a six pack in Houston yesterday, at Kroger. Will probably open one tonight while the tropical depression dumps a lot of rain on us. Was $9.99 for the six pack which I found odd with the prices here. They even had to double check at the register cause it wasn't ringing up, I'm assuming they put the regular Two Hearted price on by mistake...oh well
