    How’s the rauchbier? I ordered a bunch off dovetail beers today. I was tempted by the rauchbier but I ended up skipping it because I’m sensitive to smoky flavors in beer.

    If this makes any sense - its smoky but not overly smoky ... and I am pretty sensitive to level of smoke in a beer.

    Dammit now I have to go back and get some. I figured it being Dovetail it would as excellent as everything else they make, but I couldn’t quite commit to a four pack.

    I'm not a fan of most rauchbiers. They have too much harsh smoke. Then there's Dovetail's fabulous rauchbier. It tastes more like a tasty, savory smoked sausage in a glass. I know that sounds weird, but that's what it reminds me of. Pairs GREAT with a soft Bavarian pretzel.

    I had a glass of the rauchbier during the tour and I am not a fan of the style but I kind of dug it. I kept thinking it would pair great with a BLT.

    Oh man I need to get some of those new lager cans! I don’t know when I’ll make it over. In the future I hope these will hit distro in the post corona world.

    Sad I missed the Czech Lager canning but once I saw Kolsch, I booked it over there.

    Dovetail will for sure be my first brewery visit once they’re allowed to re-open.

    If anyone can get some some of those 4 packs to the N burbs, let me know. An appreciator would love to support Dovetail and get some Kolsch and the others.

    Lager is fantastic. Does Dovetail distro that one? The cans I got have the sticker labels on them (like the non distro beers) , but the website has it under their regular offerings.

    Their only distributed cans right now are their helles lager, Vienna lager, and Hefe. The lager is a regular but draft only. Pretty much any of the cans with the small sticker are just temporary to-go options during the closure of the taproom.

    I enjoy Helles, but if Lager or Pilsner become distributed, they would both be in my fridge at all times. Here’s to hoping that happens.

    Just another beautifully made beer here, the Altbier. Such an interesting beer... the best of both ale and lager worlds, a la Dusseldorf. Freakin' great stuff. @OleWorm @77apm
