    I noticed this article https://www.pastemagazine.com/artic...ildson-of-firestone-walker-on-downsizing.html
about moving from bombers to 12oz bottles for BA beer.
I was wondering what people think and if this has the potential to become a thing.
I personally like the idea, since I find hard to get to the end of a whole bomber oh hi-abv thick brews, my palate is overloaded and, well, I get a little tipsy.
I get the some people might not like it because most of those beer are "for sharing" but I actually also find that I don't have as many sharing occasions as the bombers lying around, so sometime I pass on beer I'd like to buy.
Plus this would save cellaring space and would help for verticals.
I just have no idea what would happen to the price of those bottles

I'm for it. And for the big brewery, why not both? Founders does 4 pack 12 oz bottles for their BA stuff, and also sells 750 ml bottles as well.

I like the 12oz format but unfortunately this results in an even HIGHER $/oz. Be prepared to start paying $15 for 12oz of BA beer.

Personally, I do find bombers annoying, but I like the format better than being limited to one 12oz bottle per customer. The only BA beer I'm totally fine being in a 12oz bottle is Tweak, but even then, Black Tuesday is large format and it hits even harder than Tweak....

Personally, if everyone would start selling in 4 packs, then I support it, but you're also limiting the product your customers can buy by half (22oz format vs. 48oz in a pack). If folks are still going to do a one-per-customer with 12oz, I say stick with the bomber.

As a business decision, with so much more craft beer out on the market, it makes sense to be able to sell your beer in individual bottles. It could help heavy product move quicker, and with how many beers are being produced today, being able to sell your beer quicker is huge.

Only for tickers or people with FOMO. Prices like that make it way easier for me to justify not buying the beer... especially these days when there are so many options on the shelf or on draft.

I know Goose Island took some slack for moving to the 16.9 oz bottles for BCBS, but I actually really like that size. It's hard to polish off a bomber on your own, but 12 oz bottles would be tough for a share. This size seems to give enough to go around at a share, and can justify opening by myself once in a while if I want to.

I want smaller formats for high abv beers, I don't like to have to wait for a time when I can finish the bottle. 4-6 packs of 12 oz would definitely be ideal, but I have a feeling the limited stuff would be limited to singles.
