End of month I'm down in Dallas for a week. Last time I was there in 2019 I went to a few spots of Katy Trail that now appear to be gone for good (Common Table, The Ginger Man). I'll be staying in the same area with no transport beyond my legs and maybe some ubering if it's not too expensive. What are the must hit spots in range of that area?
For food and beer I have to recommend Meddlesome Moth. Not sure about Rodeo Goat in Dallas, but here in Houston, it is probably one of the better burger places. In that general area you have Community, Peticolas, Texas Ale Project, Manhattan Project, Deep Ellum
To expand on the above a little bit, since you are limited to walking and ride shares - The design district is probably walkable if the weather is nice. It has Peticolas, which is close to Pegasus City and close-ish to Texas Ale Project. There is also a second taproom for Pegasus City in downtown proper. A short ride share ride will get you to Celestial, which in my opinion is a top-3 brewery in Dallas. Close to there, but still needing a ride share is On Rotation. A different ride share and direction will get you to the new Community which is also near Outfit, which goes under the radar but has tasty beers. Yet another ride share and direction will get you to Manhattan. I would skip Deep Ellum for...multiple reasons tl;dr - if it was me and I had limited time, Peticolas and Celestial are probably the must hit spots
Celestial is top 3 brewery in entire state. Invest in the under. Closer by, Peticolas makes consistently good beers albeit nothing mind blowing. Meddlesome Moth right near you for good combo of food and tap list
Due to rather unpleasant weather conditions I didn't get out and around as much as I'd liked, a stiff breeze shut the whole city down for a few days. I did get a chance to check out Pegasus, Manhattan and Celestial. All three were good, Celestial definitely reminds me of the hype breweries out West here that have a bunch of capital H hazies and phat stouts. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
