I'm headed to KC this week for work, staying downtown at Crown Center. Several questions: - Any recommended bottle shops downtown? The top rated I see in Places seem to be well South; I'd like to find something between the airport and downtown, or downtown. - Anything fun I should look for that is on the shelves now? Love hoppy IPA's, non-coffee stouts, sours. - Any recommendations on where to watch the Alabama/Clemson game on Monday night? Looking for food and a couple of beers, will likely headed back to the hotel by halftime.

Do you have a car? There really is no public transit in KC other than the bus. Closest bottle shops to Crown Center would be in Westport. Gomer's or Mike's. Flying Saucer downtown would probably be your best bet for watching the game and drinking some beers. Food is nothing to write home about. There are some breweries in the Crossroads district. Pick up a bottle of Second Shift Katy.
