    No Sunday sales!

Zipp's. Team Liquor if you really need that fix!

If you're right downtown then Haskell's is pretty good.

There's a place called North Loop Wine and Spirits or something...on the north side of downtown, supposedly they have a good selection. There's also a Whole Foods downtown that has an OK shop attached.

Thanks man, I'm actually here now and leaving Sunday for Chicago. Certainly not used to "dry days".

Anyhow I went to team liqour and got a 6 pack of Bell's Two Hearted, thank you!

Thanks guys, will definitely check those places out! I know WF can be reliable in terms of selection, at least in CA. Hoping to bring some back with me.

The Whole Foods kitty corner from the old "Sam's" and Goose Island (Clybourn) had a legendarily-good selection. I'm not sure how the new Minneapolis/Downtown selection will hold up, but it definitely improves the chances of folks from out of town (like yourself) of getting some of the local goodies without too much trouble!

A couple of others: Mill City Wine and Spirits and Sorella Wine & Spirits. Of these I've only ever been to the latter, and to be honest North Loop (suggested above) was a more specialized if not impressive selection at the time. Also worth mentioning that Zipp's is a bit further outside the Downtown zone than some folks would like, but it's definitely worth a round-trip cab ride. And this is to say nothing of the beer-y stops in the area around Zipp's! :sunglasses:

Thanks for the help! I saw Zipp's was a little further, but I don't want to exceed the GF's tolerance for my beer hunting.

Zipp's is worth it and not that far if you have a car.

I second this, get to Zipp's if you can!

IIRC the Lunds downtown has a pretty good selection as well.

Sorella is a great shop for wine. Their beer selection is well chosen, but quite small. It does have the usual local stuff (Surly, Summit, Indeed), and last time I was there (two weeks ago), they had some Surly Seviin.

Is Surly Seviin hard to find? I saw some but I'm not a huge BPA fan and the price tag scared me away

Not really. I've seen it in several spots lately.

Update: ended up hoofing it to Zipps from downtown, completely worth it! Got a mix six and excellent selection, and the beer guy even gave me a ride back to my hotel! Thanks for the rec guys

    Hah awesome!

Sorry I got here late, I live a couple blocks from North Loop Wine and Spirits, love that place, but it is a specialized selection.
