Next week I'm staying at a hotel near the Philadelphia convention centre. I don't have a car or a lot of time. For good bottle shops can anyone reccomend? I could take a subway/train if the station lets off very close to the bottle shop. I'd be carrying back at least one heavy box. The store doesn't have to be 'the best' but at least good selection of local and regional beers, and decent import selection. thanks!

I'm trying to think of a place in the city that won't completely rip you off and failing. I guess just head east to the Foodery over on 2nd?

Isn’t there a foodery on Sansom I’m center city. Agree though they’re all a ripoff inthat area unfortunately.

Whole Foods would be about a 20min walk from the convention center, they have a good selection and decent prices for the city. Could always walk there and uber back?

Price-wise I'd second Whole Foods. If you're going to pay rip-off prices at the Foodery the Corner Foodery at 1710 Sansom is the closest, and cleaner/nicer than the one at 10th & Pine with,I think, a better selection.

thanks. i went to whole foods and got some but most was in 4 or 6 packs which i avoid to maximize sampling new stuff and keeps costs down. I also went to foodery on pine. it had lots of singles so i walked away happy. they give 10% off every mixed 6. thanks for all your advice. loving the city overall.

VIP Market at 13th and Walnut St has a large, varied selection of singles.
