DR10, it's been one of my favorite DR Series releases. Recently it was mentioned to me by a fellow BA that DR10 was on a downhill slide. I drank one a couple of days ago and the taste was off/oxidized and not what I remembered. Tonight I ws like what the hell this isn't improving so I popped open another and it was wonderful.

Anyone else had one of these lately? These bottles were out of the same 6pk... Weird.

Hm, I need to try some again. Have not had one in a while. I had one about six months ago, maybe a bit more. It was awesome. I have noticed a tendency for DR's to get oxidized, while other beers from the same time are fine or aged accordingly. Putting one in the fridge now:slight_smile:

I read the same post earlier and pulled one out for tonight. Will be opening it soon.

This is would definitely fall into the off/oxidized category.

I am doing a DR 1-12 tasting next weekend (trying to finish off the early ones), so I will be opening more and will see if there is a differnce between bottles.

I had one a few months ago, and it tasted good. It wasn't as sweet as I remember, but still very good.
    Also ISO: Dr 1,3,4,5

Obviously we all have our own tastes, but if you're tasting DR10 "falling off", I think (especially in TX) you should also broadcast what your storage techniques are. I thought DR10 was unfortunately hot off the bat, but it has been drinking very well for the past 8-10 months. Full disclosure, I drank another tonight and it is still good, in my opinion.

Mine were in the refrigerator since day 1. Had one Wednesday and it was off. Very cardboard and grape taste.

Let me know if you have an extra #1. It's the only one I need for a horizontal.

I can help you out. A buddy gave me a 6 pack of that one a couple months ago. Been stored in a wine fridge since purchase and now in my temp controlled fridge.

Any of them from 6 on you need an extras of?

If not we'll figure out something else.

I had a 10 last night stored in my temp controlled freezer at 50 degrees since new and tasted great! I like it better now than before. I have been having one every couple of months and personally think it is still improving.

I just opened mine. I have kept it in my coldest darkest closet. Though in Texas coldest does not mean much. It is slightly oxidized. Though not bad at all. For me, just that perfect amount of oxidized and aged tight rope. I am going to put the rest in the fridge cause I think from here on out it will start to go down hill. Last week I had a DR9, which was in the same closet, and was near perfect. It is amazing how different DR9 and Pumpkinator still are.
