Even though Draft is a crappy magazine, list doesn't seem too bad. Only change would be to add Collins Pub for Seattle.

They probably should have found a way to get Prohibition Pig on that list but otherwise, fairly reasonable.

That has to be the world's slowest loading, gratuitous graphics-loaded web site since the 90's!

They got The Jeffrey, Three Penny Taproom and Laser Wolf right but they left some off the list for sure

Everyone seems to shout about this bar and that bar, but you have to keep in mind the sheer number of bars out there. There are definitely more than 100 great ones in the country.

I'm not saying that there is a top 100 beer bar in every state, but going on the assumption that there is, then that only leaves 50 other bars for them to pick out of the lot.

To my knowledge, Maryland only has one that is world-class, which is Max's. So glad, to be about 20 minutes from one of the best bars in the country.

Recently, I have been visiting NYC (from Philly) in increasing frequency. I've hit a few of the spots on the list and have enjoyed. This list seems to have some overlap with other NYC- best beer bar lists that I've encountered (not to suggest that this validates much). But I'd certainly welcome your perspective. Care to share one or two notable omissions, in your opinion? Thanks!

Beer Run instead of Mekong in VA is quite the mystery. It shouldn't even be a debate.

I completely agree!!! When we visit Vermont I immediately head for Waterbury and checkout those three places. I could, and have, spent all day in those bars!

You gotta check it out. It's run by the guy that used to run the Piggly Wiggly at Northbridge. Great selection and he (Richard) loves beer.

I think proleteriat is a pretty cool spot, not a huge selection but ive always gotten a good vibe. I also like to hit up jimmys no 43 and the gingerman.
