These are fun places, but the bars on the list some Ive been to are in a completely different league.

You beat me to it. I knew Tapwerks would be on that list, worthy or not. Tapwerks should get some credit because it was doing this craft thing long before craft was cool though.

And I've always thought of OK as Southwest, but I think the coasters get politics mixed up with geography many times, and if you look at it that way, we are deep south.

I agree with that. I went there twice when I was up there for a weekend and it was outstanding. I love Burlington.

Every great beer city probably has a dozen great beer bars. Smaller cities might have a couple. And even a random tiny town might have a great one. It seems an impossible task to narrow down to the top 100 in the whole country. You're splitting hairs at that point.

Yeah. Interesting list. 3 places in Charleston, SC, none in the rest of the state and only 3 in all of NC.

Sorry if this has already been addressed (I didn't read through the whole thread), but Craft Pride over Bangers in Austin? What!?

    And congratulations to @BEERchitect !

HopCat has become a chain and was included in the list of good chain pubs. Open = GR, East Lansing, Detroit, Indianapolis. Ann Arbor is hiring, and Madison to be open this year (from the website).

I've done 7 so far, I am lucky to have so many within a 50 mile radius being in between Milwaukee and Chicago.

    Bangers & Lace
    Firkin
    Hopleaf
    Map Room
    Palm Tavern
    Sugar Maple
    Craft Brewed

There are sooooo many great bars left off this list, from the south would have been great to see a Jacksonville Bar on here like Dahlia's or Kickbacks. Orlando should have been Gnarly Barley IMO. Also disappointed that Pro Pig is on this list. That is the problem with these list is that everyone has a favorite and their place is number 1, but I will say I have not been disappointed by any of the ones I have been to.

Glad to see "The Best Chains" list, people tend to snub WOB but they have awesome specials and do tap takeovers regularly... glad to see a quality chain get some recognition.

Can't wait to travel and experience a lot more of these places.

Apologies for coming across this thread late. Beer Bar or any of the other craft beer bars in Utah for that matter do not have a 4% cap on the beers sold. Where did you get this info? I love the Beer Bar it's a great place that respects and pays close attention to their beers, but what confuses me about this list is how it beat out the Bayou's massive 375 selection of different beers?

Interesting to see Clubhouse BFD on the list (it's the closest 'bar' to my house). Apparently I need to go there more often.
