I was out last night and the bartender made me a blend of 50% Big Bad Baptist, 25% Firestone XIV, and 25% Sonoran White Chocolate Ale. It was truly magnificent.

Got me thinking, anyone else have a blend that they enjoy? Obviously many combinations aren't possible in one location or another because of distribution and keg rotations.

my local German restaurant, , Koenigs, does a Spaten Optimator/Pilsner combo, which I once drank religously , but it's been a few years. I wonder if I could still enjoy it.

Considering the amount of beers that went into XIV, you probably broke a record for most beers in one beer. Congratulations.

Most stout/ipa blends end up being delicious.

I was just wondering the other night if this could become a thing. Maybe bars could even install taps that would blend two beers 50/50. It'd be kind of like the "swirl" dispenser at the yogurt places.

Dry Dock's one of the more popular spots out here and they have a few mixes that are nearly as popular as normal drafts. For instance their pumpkin is a spice bomb, so a common thing to do is do a 50/50 with it and their vanilla porter.
Ditto with some other sweeter items they've done that can be a bit much by themselves.

    that's a negativo, kemosabe.

At Blue Palms a year or so ago there was a bunch of FW anniv. blending going on... blending XI, XII, XIII, etc. Blending blended beers, Oh, the joy.

FW should just release an anniversary beer called "Lots of Freaking Beers, in One Bottle."

A couple of the old timers at Bell's have apparently been pushing the LagerSlam. Lager of the Lakes topped with Hopslam. I have not tried it but it may be an adequate replacement when I cannot get Q Falls.

There's a restaurant near Minneapolis that mixes Surly Furious and Surly Bender and calls it Fender. It's delicious.
