Awesome point about the bee or wasp. Happened to me last year. No horror story like I was rushed to the hospital. Or that I am allergic to them Simply took swig and the damn wasp was in my mouth for like 3secs. Pretty much spit the beer all over myself with the wasp. Overall just disappointed I wasted beer. Sign me up, worth $45 for sure.

Can't.......can't we just drink from the can to begin with? I.....I don't really see the need for this in most people's lives.

If the tool was able to reform the lid into an aluminum straw I'd be all over it.

Looking at the video, this is clearly aimed at the cape-wearing, beer-chugging college crowd...soooo.....it should do pretty well.

There is just something about hearing the tab pop when you open the can, its almost nostalgic. That is why I will pass.

To be honest I think it leans to the stupid idea side of life.

they also show firestone walker in that video... so obviously they are trying to appeal to everyone.

I think its a good idea, and probably works great. but 45 bucks is a little steep.

I am backtracking on my saying that this is probably not useful. I could just start carrying this thing around in my back pocket and leave my brass knuckles at home. Seriously with this and my Odell key chain I would be good to go in most areas of Houston.

I think it's pretty neat. It wouldn't be useful in day to day applications but for social gatherings, especially outdoors, it would come in handy. I hate drinking out of cans and plastic cups aren't always available.

Separating a top from the bottom takes us back to the old ring-style pull-top can that created too much 'dangerous' litter, etc. that led to a new invention, the pop top. (For you young' uns out there, the pop top hasn't always been the way to open a can.) So here we go again.

i would jam my elbow into the top of the can. it doesn't totally open the top, but at least provides a downward slope for the split.

"Widemouth" cans revolutionized dipping. Just crinkle the spit can as to avoid confusing cans. Unrelated yet somewhat relevant, I was once given a direct order from our commander during a deployment to stop using Corona bottles at our little "hooch" shack as spit bottles because they were clear and generally gross. Switched to Bud Light, nothing lost nor gained.

True...but if you notice it's all blurred out so only an actual craft drinker would be able to discern their sleek grey can and label. But I agree, 45 sawbucks is a too high of a price for, as people have previously said, a can opener.

I will just wait, and hope that more and more breweries start using these ^.

This product reminds me of the As Seen on TV "Safety Lid". It was a canned food opener that took the top off with no sharp edges on either part. I used it for many years till it broke.
