I've poured out many, many beers. What's the point of drinking a beer that I don't like? I'll at least write a review for it if I haven't already, and then down the drain it goes. I always keep a bunch of different beer in my fridge so I just pour out the crap and get a different bottle if I want to keep drinking.

    Recent drainpours:

Cave Creek Chili beer: hilariously bad, I wanted to drainpour it just from the smell. It smelled and tasted like hot garbage.

Guinness Black Lager: buddy left a couple bottles at my house so I tried it. Tasted like carbonated water that someone dumped an ashtray into.

    Dark Lord: pure soy sauce

Dark Horse Perkulator: like drinking pure cold, carbonated bad coffee

Rogue voodoo doughnut blah blah blah: do I even need to list a reason?

I'm not even counting the various infected bottles that I poured out.

I don't know what happened to the poor bottle of it I had, but it smelled like straight up urinal cakes.

Others did not seem to have this problem based on reviews.

All three of us drinking agreed on the aroma. There were some pleasant tastes in the brew, but I couldn't get over the smell. 2 poured it and one brave soul finished his glass.

I'm pretty sure there are sober kids in Africa, so I choose not to drain pour.

I just drainpoured actually, a rather expensive one too. The Sam Adams Infinium. I couldn't get through a glass even. I recapped it and tried it today and it was still something that kinda made me sick. Had to pour it.

i recently drain poured an alpine nelson. i really really disliked the flavor of this beer. i know it gets a lot of love but i literally couldn't bring myself to take another sip. traded the 2 others i had for a DL '11

i second the cave creek chili beer also...although i didnt really drain pour it. i spit it out, pure reaction, and knocked the bottle over at the same time. Friends dont let friends drink this beer.

Most things from Abita, but most recently, and most memorable, was their Vanilla Doubledog. What a horrible beer. I thoroughly enjoyed watching that one go down the drain.

My most recent ones included 512's Bourbon Barrel Pecan Porter and Xyauya Etichetta Rame (Copper). Absolutely heinous goddam beers. We also drain ditched two vintages of Dark Lord. How they have a "day" set aside so that you can buy 4 bottles of that horse shit, then spend even more on barrel aged variants, is beyond me. Absolute garbage, IMHO.

Bad bottle? I had one of the (512) WBDPP '12 and while it was perhaps a bit over-carbonated, it still tasted fine. I have one other that I'm interested to see what (if anything) cellaring does for it.

I did that a couple of years ago only because the bottle was laced with black gunk! I would drink one now but only if poured it slowly!

Remnants of an accidental drainpour...actually a good bit ended up on the floor and did not make it to the drain.

I had to drain pour my "birthday beer" from yesterday...a 2011 Whiskey BA Yeti. Hard to find, $30, and I was excited about it until I smelled/tasted the sourness...it was a sad night...

This. I bought a bottle last New Year's Eve to crack at midnight. A lot of people poured a small amount and didn't even finish that. No one went back for seconds so 1/3 of the bottle got dumped.

I drain poured 4 of 6 Duckrabbit Brown Ales. I managed to finish one and gave one to a friend to ry. He drank half and dumped it. The other 4 went directly down the drain.

I try not to drainpour too many beers but it happens. If I don't like it, I don't like it. Most of them were infected or something was off. Only a few were just downright disgusting beers. 2007 WWS just tastes off to me. 2006 and 2008 are fine but I've had 2 2007's from different sources both tasted bad.

For those that didn't like JW Lees aged in Lagavulin casks, Lagavulin is one of the most peated, smokiest scotches I've ever had. I like slots of scotches but just can't enjoy Lagavulin.
