So, 3F Oude Geuze blew my mind. I figure Golden Blend stands a chance to do the same. I searched the Talk/Help forum, and it looks like it may have still been on shelves here and there as of late 2014. Anyone still see it? If not, what kind of trade ammo are we talking here? I'm more of the stumble-into-the-occasional-tradeable-goodie type than someone with a cellar full of bangers, so just trying to feel out if this is even attainable.

Two batches exist: bottled 2011/released 2012 and bottled 2013/released 2014.

375 mL bottles only consisting of 1, 2, 3 and 4 year lambic. The later batch may contaon 3F brewed lambic ( couldn't get a straight answer); the former does not.

One or two other batches were bottled but did not carbonate; they were released as Golden Doesjel.

First batch sat through most of 2013 and into 2014 here in Boston. Prices I saw ranged from $23 to $32. Not kidding. Second batch came and went pretty quick here. About the same price point.

Still available online from time to time from some of the Belgian stores.

It is damn good. You'll need some decent ammo to get one unless you have a RTP.

What, was my last box short? :grimacing:

I've seen it on the shelves as recently as two weeks ago...it was good but I can get girardin black label for half the price...

Hahaha, I think we all know that's certifiably impossible! More like, as I was doing a giant fridge reorganization to accommodate that recent behemoth you sent, I saw my last, lonely bottle of 3F Oude Geuze, and that got me thinking about how to replenish/what else I ought to be exploring. Browsing the reviews and Golden Blend sounded like a winner.

Wish I could even find Black Label. AZ is f-ing terrible for lambic. Probably been well over a year since any 3F or Girardin hit, longer for Loons, and I've never even seen Tilquin here. It's pretty much Boon, Cuvée Rene, and maybe the occasional Hannsens or some such.

Anywho, thx for the skinny, gents!

This stuff was on the shelf everywhere a year ago for $20-$25 in Missouri, Illinois, Indiana. Haven't seen it in a bit, but it is very good. Double price from a regular 3F Gueuze? Maybe, but probably not.

I bought 6 bottles from Belgium In A Box.com about two months ago... Sold out fast... came to about $25 a bottle... If I bought more stuff from the site probably could have got that down to $20 by saving ok bulk shipping
