Drinking Ale at room temperature

    Here's the thing. I realize that I am atypical, but, any flavor I get warm, I get cold. And the texture is better cold.

    Warm, sticky stouts and barleywines are no fun.

    If your point is that sweet spot is an individual thing, I totally agree.

    I drink all beer warmer than I used to. Most styles are best are 40-45 F, dark and strong beer is best at, like, 45-60 F. I hate hurting my teeth from the cold and want to experience the full range of flavor. Sure, warm beer can be gross-- just cool feeling is where its at.

    On most appropriate styles I trade a bit of flavor for refreshment. I can’t enjoy 50 degree IPAs, I much prefer them in the 30s. At 50 starting out it’s ok, but as it warms it gets a bit sluggish.
