This is basically how I do it. Get to look forward to something every day after work or the gym, never feel bad the next day, win win.

Two beers per day is maybe 300-350 calories. There are other adjustments to my life I'd much rather make, i.e. healthier eating in general and exercise. Two beers per day shouldn't destroy a liver so that's a reasonable trade-off. Since I started drinking beer a couple of years ago I've actually dropped 10 pounds or so (I'm 6' 1", 165 pounds).

Personally, I drink one beer/day Monday-Thursday and 2-4 beers/day Friday-Sunday which averages out close to two beers per day.

I was living the dream for too too long, before craft, a long time ago it was daily consumption and I was probably averaging 6-10 a night during the week and more on the weekend.
Enter craft and I drank less maybe 4-6 during the week and more on the weekend. So I cut back in volume but probably consumed more in ABV and I gained more weight, spent too much and my SWMBO wasn't very happy about it.

Now I don't drink during the week, spend less, always have better beers in the cooler and I'm actually losing weight without any other changes. Took a little getting used to but I'm happier for it, beer doesn't taste any better but I do look forward to it more

It was that or rehab and rehab is for quitters

You call me an ass for assuming you were young, now you assume I am young?

I am far from young old timer.

I really don't think about it. If I want a beer and It happens to be the third or fourth day in a row so be it. Also sometimes I go 3 or 4 days without a beer for no other reason then I just didn't feel like having a beer.

OK I'll explain what I meant since you aren't able to figure out yourself. Break the word assume into these groups: ass/u/me. When you assume something [usually with no factual basis] you make an ass [from assume] out of u [also from assume] and me [wow! this is also from assume] See? The word ass was followed by u and me so I was calling myself an ass also.

And if you're younger than me, you're still a young'un.

Pretty much drink when I want to, don't drink if I don't want to. Other than avoiding drinking if I'm going to work or I'm going to be driving it does not matter what day or time of day it is.

I have kicks where I'll drink everyday for like 2 weeks then a week or so where I might have one night of drinking. Depends on work my mood and of course money!

I'm working 10-12 hours a day in an office job, and the lack of exercise opportunities on most days mean that I can't really take the extra calories that drinking every day would bring about. But man, I'd like to. Weekends, all bets are off.

I drink beer when I feel like it... I don't drink bourbon or whiskey or spirits in general, ever (just not for me). Having said that, i probably have between 1 and 8 (no real limit but thats typical) a week, sometimes none. that is all.

I usually have one or two a day during the week. 4 or 5 friday, saturday and sunday. Monday I always tell myself I'm not going to drink until the weekend. That usually lasts until Tuesday night.

If you don't want to drink everyday, then don't. There's no daily drinking requirement to be a craft beer enthusiast and you are probably better off not drinking everyday anyway.

Wow from down under. Well I'm hoping you're being sarcastic. Because I'm just a regular beer drinking bum. Most things I'm not very good at. But one thing I am is drinking beers. Not really the trophy you want up on the mantle....

With so much great beer out there and so many different styles, this hobby promotes drinking. It is a lot of fun to drink great stuff and try new things. I am sure if a lot of us were completely honest with ourselves we would drink a bit less. Does that mean we have a problem? Most no, some maybe.

To me, everyday would be too much. Like anything else, do things in moderation. Also, when the doctors say one or two a day is OK or "could" be good for people, drinking a 22 ounce bomber of a 12% ABV stout is not what they are talking about.
