I like to keep some IPAs in the detached garage for a weekend work snack. Late Fall to early Spring it stays a coolish 50 to 60.
    They taste splendid!

Since I have become a BA, I tend to take a longer time enjoying and reviewing my beers. That being said, I also find that many styles will have some subtle changes as the glass warms up over an hour or so. Probably most noticeable in some of the darker offerings like Imperial Stouts and Old Ales in my experience, but I have noticed that this also happens with IPAs. Like some of the BAs above, I have taken to allowing my darker beers to sit out for awhile (15m or so) before opening. Also love the idea of upping the temp in the beer fridge a little bit! As far as noticing this with Sculpin, that beer would probably taste good drinking it out of a boot. Cheers!

Most beers worth their salt will still taste good at room temp...which is why they tell you to drink their crappy beer only if the mountains are cold.

I prefer to drink beer of all styles at higher temperatures. Coldness makes it too difficult to discern all the little niceties, regardless of style. I've taken to just drinking all my beers in my cellar without refrigerating them, and other beers like IPAs and similar styles naturally warm up as I drink them since I'm incredibly slow to imbibe.

    I'm one!

Edit: I keep my hoppy beers in the fridge, yet take them out and let them get to room temp before enjoying. I've notice with doing this all flavors are more pronounced and makes it more enjoyable.

I've brought this up before and I like some really good balanced Dipas at room temp, and by like I mean prefer.

The past few months I have been playing around with serving temps. Loose guidelines i follow, 15 minutes out of the fridge for IPAs, 20 minutes for sours and stouts. I don't have a dedicated beer fridge.

I recently had Founders Breakfast Stout at about 50 degrees and then again closer to 70. It felt a little weird to drink beer at that high of a temperature but the flavor was far better.

Why not? I think the aromas pop a little more when ipa s are warmer too.
