Maybe to cut down on travel it could be coordinated that the Harrisburg area guys get together and ship part, and the eastern guys get together and ship the other part. Takes some of the fun out of a packing party, but could work. Obviously, everybody would still have to get together for the unpacking party.

 

If we're really doing a ship deadline only a month from now we might have to do that... have you ever tried to coordinate 6 hectic schedules in that short a time? Maybe I'm just a procrastinator, but I feel like I'm always asking for a longer window from targets to shipping

 

Figures this goes underway after a massive bottle share that took most of my cellar with it. Looks like @joefuzz and I are going to have to make a stop at Decicco's and see what I can use to replenish

 

Sorry for us Texas guys not checking in. I'll get with them and see what would be an feasible option on a shipping window.

 

Later part of October seems reasonable. Plus if the first round goes well and ends in time to set up round 2, IL would be in prime time for sending out a prop.

I personally like the requirement of a growler. With some nice small local breweries popping up that only keg, this plays right into my/our hand.

As fir sending that many pieces of glass... worries me. But hey, that's what I'm best at, worrying.

Long story short, I'm ready for definitive answers so we can get this ball rolling!

 

I hate being 'that guy' but my vote is for something later, The Locals Round III has a shipping window of the back half of October and I'm trying to do both, but that'd be a lot in the same month. I also honestly think coordinating a half dozen schedules (for 2 separate events) would be a lot easier with longer lead time.

I think the reason to not do growler specifically is that while TX and PA both have great growler options, other areas might not, but those areas might have great brewery-only bottled options (as @IPAFan521 pointed out, this may apply to IL). For your team though I think a growler (or two) would be very much in line, just no sense requiring it if it's not going to go well.

Maybe a separate box with glassware only?

So unless I was secret voted out, I'm guessing a 10/14 ship deadline isn't going to happen... Are we holding out for more teams, or what's going on with this one? (I maintain that I'm in no hurry, but it's been nearly a month since we've heard from OP)
