Didn't have a massive collection but over the last two months have been drinking my way through my cellar, through get togethers and not buying anything new or doing trades. It makes you realize you have to face the fact it's just beer, you can't keep it forever. Anyone else gone through this before? The end game is my old stock ale vertical, might shed a tear on that one.

I drank / shared the bulk of my cellar last year before moving to VT from PA, just cause I didn't want to move a bunch of beer. 150ish down to 30 or so. No regrets at all, kept the stuff I am more than confident in long term aging, drank the rest.

well you gotta keep in mind that the reason you bought the beer was to drink it, not collect it. so dont lose yourself in that pokemon gotta-catch-em-all mentality.

I'm trying to go from 120 to about 70 currently, but it's tough during RIS season!

Yesterday was the beginning of a journey to dwindle down the cellar. After only a year and some change in the beer world, I've realized I need to slow down and enjoy what I have.

Moving internationally drinking your cellar is often the easiest route. I have drunk mine twice now, but fortunately didn't have to drink everything on my US to Canada move.

It makes you realize that if your waiting for a special occasion to drink a certain beer, sometimes that occasion is today. It's good to be alive.
